We partner with school districts to help teachers and special educators address some of the challenges associated with teaching children with autism and other childhood disorders. Educators face a difficult task in balancing a wide array of learning styles and needs within their classrooms and may not have the capacity to offer individualized support to every child. Ally Pediatric Therapy, which specializes in addressing symptoms common in children on the autism spectrum, can assist by providing staff trained in the fundamentals of ABA to perform assessments and implement treatment plans. Our services complement those offered by school districts and can help alleviate some of the financial and personnel constraints associated with supporting children with autism in the classroom.
We offer a variety of services to help educators, including:
- Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs): We help educators identify and understand the underlying causes of challenging behaviors, then build strategies to promote positive behaviors in situations when challenging behaviors are likely to occur.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst Consultations: Our team of expert BCBAs can help teachers or special educators with on-going training or the implementation of ABA principles into their teaching.
- ABA Program Design and Implementation: We offer 1:1 ABA therapy for students in the classroom, which includes ongoing BCBA supervision, on-going consultation with the classroom teacher(s) and special educators, and teacher / paraprofessional training.
- Speech Language and/or Feeding Evaluations: Our speech language pathologists conduct evaluations to determine a baseline and areas of focus for ongoing treatment. These may be done periodically to ensure progress is being made against the treatment plan and that treatment is focused on addressing each child’s deficits.
