Kelsey Buckler joined Ally Pediatric Therapy in 2019. She started out as an Interior design major at Northern Arizona University, unsure of her future and if her major was something she actually wanted to pursue. Her roommate and best friend at NAU had a brother who was receiving services for habilitation and respite care and asked her if she wanted to come work at his facility with her back in our hometown of Phoenix for the summer. After working with kids of various diagnosis that summer of 2012, Kelsey permanently moved back to Phoenix to continue working as a respite and habilitation provider while teaching dance at her local dance studio.
Kelsey transferred to Arizona State University and changed her major to Family and Human Development, while also adding two years of American Sign Language to her course list. As she became more involved in the field, she learned more about Applied Behavior Analysis and was instantly intrigued. She switched jobs and became a Registered Behavior Technician in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in December 2015. She has also graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s in Family and Human Development and hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Kelsey has experience in behavior reduction and skill acquisition. Her favorite part about working in this field (aside from the kids), is being able to see families witness their children complete significant milestones that didn’t seem possible prior to ABA. “I feel so passionately about my job and I look forward to continuing to help children find their voice and reach their full potential.”
