Mariah joined Ally Pediatric in June of 2018. She has been working with children in a variety of settings for over 5 years and has always found joy in being a part of the small daily victories that come with working with kids. Her interest in behavior began in her undergraduate studies at Regis University in Denver, CO where she majored in psychology with a focus in criminology. She always knew that she was most interested in at-risk populations and a career that focused on those with significant need.
Following her graduation from Regis University, she moved to sunny Phoenix, Arizona where she began her work in ABA and became a Registered Behavior Technician, working under the direction of Dr. Kellie Band with United Behavioral Services, and began her coursework in Arizona State University’s Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Applied Behavior Analysis program. She comes to Ally with experience working with children with autism in a variety of settings including in-home, school, clinic, and group therapy sessions, focusing on both skill acquisition and behavior reduction. Her experiences working in the field have led her to develop a passion for this work that she never expected— through helping to teach children their first words, to seeing their successes as they master their own social skills and make their first friends, she knew that this career was exactly where she wanted to be, and looks forward to continuing to surmount challenges and experience successes with the amazing individuals in the population we serve.
