Mika Visentin has worked with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs since 2000. Her training and experience in autism treatment began in the State of Maine Public School Systems. There she was trained in ABA by Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Christine Manley, and in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) by Speech Language Pathologist, Mark Hammond.
Mika attended the University of Southern Maine, where she studied Linguistics and earned her Associate of Arts Degree. After relocating to Arizona, Mika then attended Northern Arizona University where she earned her Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Degree.
After graduating in 2016, Mika completed her SLPA internship at Ally Pediatric Therapy under the guidance and supervision of Speech Language Pathologist, Tara Boyd. Ally provided Mika the opportunity to combine her lifelong passions for Speech Language Pathology and autism spectrum disorder.
Throughout her career, Mika has worked as a Behavior Therapist and Paraprofessional at an Arizona autism charter school, as well as, providing Recreational and Habilitation Therapy in the home and community settings for various children with autism.
Mika is licensed through the Arizona Department of Health Services.
