Mika Visentin has worked with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other pediatric developmental delays since 2000. Her experience began in the Maine Public School System where she was trained in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Mika attended the University of Southern Maine, where she studied Speech and Language Linguistics and earned her Associate of Arts Degree. After relocating to Arizona, Mika then attended Northern Arizona University where she earned her Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Degree. After graduation, Mika completed her clinical hours and internship at Ally Pediatric Therapy and has been employed at Ally since 2017.
Since beginning her career as an SLPA, Mika has acquired a focus of interest in pediatric feeding therapy. Prior to her SLPA position, Mika gained experience through her work in the educational setting as a Paraprofessional/Behavior Technician and in the home and community-based settings as a Habilitation/Respite provider. Additionally, Mika has implemented a service dog to support a former student with autism and volunteered in equine-assisted therapies.
In her free time, Mika enjoys camping, hiking and fishing with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
