Ellen French, M.A., CCC-SLP
Assistant Director of Speech and Feeding Services
Ellen was born and raised in central Illinois before attending Southeast Missouri State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications Disorders with a minor degree in Autism Studies in 2013 and her Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders in 2015. After a brief stint in northern Indiana, Ellen remained in Missouri until 2021, when her family relocated to Arizona.
Ellen has worked in various settings, including schools, telehealth, inpatient/acute care, and outpatient private practice. She has experience in the evaluation and treatment of babies, all the way to adults, and has experience with various diagnoses, including ASD, CVA, language disorders, articulation/phonology disorders, AAC use, dysphagia, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and hearing impairments, among plenty others. Her clinical strengths cover topics that range the entire human lifespan. However, her passions fall with early intervention, phonology, feeding, and dysphagia therapies.
Ellen is an advocate for the support of SLPs, collaborative interdisciplinary communication, and fostering successful careers for those who choose this profession, and was thrilled to join Ally in April 2022 as Lead SLP for the East Valley.
Ellen resides in Gilbert with her husband, Tyler, their two daughters, Annie & Quinn, and their black lab Jett. When there’s any free time amongst the chaos, Ellen enjoys farmer’s markets, reading, baking, and being outside.
