Jamilah Amirah, M.A., BCBA, LBA
Assistant Director of Clinical Initiatives
Jamilah is a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst from Chandler, Arizona. She discovered her passion for helping children and families when she began working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2008. Having witnessed the tremendous impact ABA had on the clients she served, she decided to pursue her career in ABA. Jamilah received her bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Arizona State University in 2012 and obtained her Master of Arts in Professional Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology in 2017.
Jamilah has extensive experience in designing and implementing focused and comprehensive treatment plans in the home, school, and community settings. Jamilah has served children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and severe maladaptive behavior. Jamilah’s experience with young adults enabled her to design advanced social skills curriculum for social groups, collaborate with local businesses for vocational training and assist schools in the transition planning of students. Additionally, Jamilah has provided didactic instruction on the principles of ABA and client-specific support to parents and families.
Another one of Jamilah’s rewarding accomplishments has been starting a family of her own; Jamilah and her husband have three daughters and she enjoys spending time with them. She also enjoys attending concerts and practicing yoga.
